Doi Suthep at sunrise & the Hmong village
The trip, in short
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is the most visited temple in northern Thailand and by ten in the morning the terrace is shoulder to shoulder. At six it is almost empty, the cloud is usually still sitting in the valley, and the monks are chanting.
It is a 05:00 pick-up and a 306-step naga staircase — or the funicular if you would rather. Afterwards we carry on up to Doi Pui, a Hmong village with a small museum, a poppy garden and a viewpoint back down over the city.
You are back at your hotel by ten, with the whole day still in front of you.

Before you book
- Temples are working religious sites: shoulders and knees must be covered for everyone. Our vehicles carry spare sarongs.
- Shoes come off inside ordination halls. Wear something you can slip on and off.
- It is genuinely cold on the mountain before dawn between November and February — 10 °C is normal. Bring a layer.
- Shoes come off on the upper terrace. The tiles are cold and wet at that hour.

Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund to the card you paid with. Cancel later than that and the booking is non-refundable, because the vehicle, seat or greeter has already been committed.
- Refunds are issued within one business day and reach your card in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- If we cancel — weather, a marine department closure, a mechanical failure — you choose a new date or a full refund, whenever we cancel.
- No-shows and cancellations inside the window are not refundable. We will always try to move you to another date first.
